General Questions
DimeWell is a digital salary-backed loan processing platform operated by
TWOFOUR DIMEWELL LIMITED in Zambia. We provide fast, transparent,
and paperless loans to formally employed public and private sector employees.
Our platform allows you to apply online, upload documents, track your application
in real time, and receive funds directly to your bank account or mobile money
— all without visiting a physical branch.
Yes. DimeWell operates in compliance with Bank of Zambia (BOZ)
guidelines for non-bank financial services. We are a registered Zambian company
(TWOFOUR DIMEWELL LIMITED) and comply with the Data Protection Act. We retain
loan records for the required 7-year period and disclose the total cost of credit
before you submit your application.
DimeWell is owned and operated by TWOFOUR DIMEWELL LIMITED,
a company registered in the Republic of Zambia. Our team includes experienced
financial services professionals and technology experts dedicated to making
salary-backed loans more accessible to Zambian employees.

Eligibility Questions
Formally employed public and private sector employees in Zambia may apply. This includes:
- Government ministry employees
- Statutory body staff (ZESCO, ZAMTEL, ZNBC, etc.)
- Local authority employees (city and municipal councils)
- Teachers, nurses, police, immigration officers
- Private company employees
- NGO and charity workers
- Private school and university staff
- Hospital and clinic employees
- Bank and financial institution staff
Public Sector Employees:
- Minimum 6 months confirmed employment
- Minimum net salary of K2,500 per month
- Minimum 6 months confirmed employment
- Minimum net salary of K3,000 per month
- Employer must be a verified registered company
- Must not have an active DimeWell loan in default
- Must not be on the DimeWell blacklist
- Maximum debt-to-income ratio of 50% (public) or 45% (private)
Yes. DimeWell serves both public and private sector employees. If your employer
is a registered company, NGO, school, hospital, or financial institution, you
are welcome to apply. Private sector applicants must also provide a 3-month
bank statement and have a minimum net salary of K3,000 per month.
You need a minimum of 6 months confirmed employment with your
current employer. This applies to both public and private sector employees.
If you've been employed for less than 6 months, we encourage you to apply
once you reach the minimum period.
If your employer is not in our registry during registration, it will be flagged
for review by a DimeWell loan officer. Our team will verify your employer's
details and may add them to the registry. You can still submit your application,
but processing may take slightly longer while employer verification is completed.
Employers can also contact us directly to be pre-registered.
Application Questions
Applying is simple and fully online:
- Register: Create your account with your NRC, phone number, and employer details.
- Upload Documents: Submit your payslip, employment letter, NRC, and any other required documents.
- Select Loan: Choose from 7 loan products and enter your desired amount and term.
- Review & Submit: Confirm the details and submit your application.
- Track Progress: Monitor your application status in real time from your dashboard.
DimeWell targets processing within 3 working days once all
required documents are complete and verified. The timeline depends on:
- How quickly you upload all required documents
- Whether your employer is already in our verified registry
- The completeness and clarity of your uploaded documents
Yes. The DimeWell platform is designed to be mobile-friendly
and works on smartphones, tablets, and computers. You can complete the entire
application process — including document upload — from your mobile phone.
The platform is optimised for Android devices commonly used in Zambia.
Generally, you can only have one active DimeWell loan at a time.
If you have an existing loan, you must repay it fully before applying for a new one.
This policy helps ensure responsible lending and protects you from over-indebtedness.
Your eligibility for a new loan will also depend on your repayment history.
Yes. Your Applicant Dashboard shows a visual step-by-step
progress tracker: Submitted → Documents Verified → Under Review → Approved →
Disbursed. You can also see which documents have been verified and which are
still required. You'll receive SMS and email notifications at each stage.
Documents Questions
All applicants must provide:
- National Registration Card (NRC)
- Most recent payslip (showing gross and net salary)
- Employment letter or contract (showing employer, position, and start date)
- 3-month bank statement
- School Fees Loan — School invoice
- Medical Loan — Hospital quote or admission letter
- Housing Improvement — Proof of property ownership (where required)
- Business Equipment — Equipment quotation
- Education / Training — Institution offer letter
We accept PDF, JPG, and PNG files. Each file must be no larger
than 5MB. You can upload up to 10 files per
application. For best results, ensure your documents are clear and legible.
Blurry or incomplete documents may delay processing.
DimeWell Loan Officers manually review your uploaded documents to verify
your employment and identity. They cross-check information across your payslip,
employment letter, and NRC. Documents may be marked as Verified,
Requires Clarification, or Rejected. If
clarification is needed, you'll receive a notification requesting specific
additional information.
Yes. All documents are AES-256 encrypted at rest on secure
cloud storage (AWS S3). Document access is strictly controlled and logged in
our audit trail — we record who viewed what document and when. Documents are
only accessible to authorised DimeWell loan officers for verification purposes
and are retained in accordance with Bank of Zambia requirements.
Disbursement Questions
Approved loans may be disbursed through:
- Bank Transfer: Direct deposit to your bank account (Zanaco, ABSA, Stanbic, FNB, Access Bank).
- Mobile Money: Transfer to your MTN or Airtel mobile money wallet.
Once your loan is approved, funds are typically disbursed within
1–2 working days. The total time from application
submission to receiving funds is targeted at 3 working days. Emergency
loans may be disbursed within 24 hours if all documents are complete.
Yes. Upon disbursement, you will receive a loan agreement in PDF
format via email. This document includes all loan terms, the
repayment schedule, total cost of credit, and your rights and obligations.
You also receive a disbursement receipt confirming the amount and date of transfer.
Repayment Questions
Repayments may be made through:
- Salary Deduction: Your employer deducts the monthly instalment from your salary and remits it to DimeWell. A payroll deduction instruction letter is sent to your employer.
- Mobile Money: Pay via MTN or Airtel mobile money.
- Bank Transfer: Direct deposit to the DimeWell repayment account.
Yes. Early repayment is allowed and encouraged. Contact our support team
or check your dashboard for the early settlement amount. There is no penalty
for early repayment. Upon full repayment, you will receive a loan closure
confirmation and clearance letter.
If a payment is missed:
- You will receive an SMS and email alert on the due date.
- If unpaid after 1–30 days, a formal first arrears notice is sent.
- If unpaid after 31+ days, an escalated notice is sent with consequences disclosed.
- Continued non-payment may result in escalation to your employer and affect your credit standing.
Your Applicant Dashboard displays your full repayment
schedule — month by month — showing the amount due, next payment date,
and outstanding balance. You can download your repayment schedule and
loan statement as a PDF at any time.
Technical Questions
DimeWell works on any modern device with an internet connection:

reset link. The link expires in 30 minutes for security. If you
don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support.
Yes. We take data security seriously:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted connection).
- Documents are AES-256 encrypted at rest.
- We comply with Zambia's Data Protection Act.
- Your data is never shared with unauthorised third parties.
- You may request deletion of your data at any time (subject to regulatory retention requirements).
